Life's Illusion

'Blonde Lady As Butterfly' Fine Art Print courtesy of art.com

It is high noon
in the valley of consciousness
foreboding shadows evaporate
as sweet diary entries are penned
curved lines intersect
lasciviously with straight ones
in the pond of my soul

Borrowing joy
from a swaying daisy
I smile at a passing butterfly
who seems baffled by
this silly person
on the banks
of life’s illusion
