~Promises
Promise your love, my beloved -
Here, in the brisk, Autumn sun *-
'Neath the baby blue blanket, of the sky -
Pledge to me, that you, are the one!
Promise your love, only forever-
In a field of Texas Blue Bonnets-
Or perhaps between, the majestic,
(Mountains or green vales)
Or, in an Aubade-Like Sonnet...
Promise your love, to me, my darling,
Near to, the self-blazing mums,
E'er close, to each, perfect thing, we see-
And, in all of our days, to come!
O' Beloved, promise your evermore love-
'Neath the vaulted arch of the,
Elevations, high above...
This is a Challenge write in sonnet form for:
Floreann_Cawley's: Promise Your Love
* Footnote: I would like to share something
I read this evening.
It is by the poet William Blake
He who binds himself a joy
Does the winged life destroy
But he who kisses the joy as it flies
Lives in Eternities Sunrise
