Me and You No More

I remember the first time we met
Your smile, your eyes, I will not forget
Your voice sets me sailing on a magic carpet
I held you in my heart like a precious amulet

Memories of us, gazing at the sunset
Watching your lips move in a mesmerising sonnet
Your heart beating in mine, safe, encasted in a locket
Loving feeling, strangulating me in a tight corset

I remember the day you left me in the net
I begged, its not time to go,my dear, not yet
Nothing I could do to make you less upset
Your heart and mine played a different trumpet

Memories of you, haunts me, I can't forget
Your touch and scent, I lost, my painful regret
My longing and yearning, you will never again let
Mend my broken heart, for you are my true kismet
