Starlit Tango

My desire dances with dawn
In the arms of a loving world,
Enthralled with passionate life,
Enchanted by its creations.

With glorious songs of joy
Birds embrace the rising sun,
Sunbeams kiss the virgin sky
And delighted clouds turn pink.

I awake to the sound of drums,
My ear against your pulsing chest,
I feel the rhythm of life's dance
In the beat of your cherished heart.

I quiver at the memory
Of last night's starlit tango
And desire dawning in my heart,
I invite you, love, to dance.

Your hand lies gently on my back
And I feel your soft caress,
My soul surrenders to your love
And your careful tenderness.

We dance again to starry songs
Played softly by our heartstrings,
And glide as one towards ecstasy
With our heartbeats keeping time.
