The house of tears and fears

That house was always quiet
A little girl
Lived inside
You see she had a
Broken wing
She was unable
To fly

For years she had suffered
A life of abuse
Her poor little body
Was battered and bruised

Her heart was broken
In two
She had never known love
Only abuse

No one heard
Her screaming
N one heard
Her cry
No one helped,
this little girl
No one helped her
Fly

She never told a sole
What happened
In her house
In fact,
she was always quiet,
As quiet as a mouse

If I had known her
If I had knew
I would have helped
This little girl
This I promise
You

I would have told her
In a soft gentle voice
Sweetie,
This is not your fault
I know you had no choice

But to stay in that house
And suffer
Both day and night
What your parents
Did to you
Was cruel,
Not right

I would give to you
A safe place to live
If only I had known
The hell of a life
You lived

I would have,
Wiped the tears
that You cried
If only I knew
The pain that you suffered
The hell
That you have been
Through

But now it is to late
You see
You have earned your wings
And you are ready to fly

Your parents,
Went to far
And they took your life
A poor innocent child
To young to understand
Why she suffered so
All throughout
Her life

Now you’re an Angel
With a brand new pair
Of wings
No longer,
is your wing broken
Now with the angels
You sing

That house was always quiet
And now,
We know why

A little girl lived
A life of abuse
Hurt by her parents
And forgotten by the world
Too

We should always,
Pay attention
Always open our eyes
Watch for these,
broken winged
Children look into
Their eyes

They may have a secret
They need to let out
Maybe with help from you and I
We can stamp child abuse
Out
