He Thought He Had It Made, My Friends

He thought he had it made, my friends,
His Dendrites were lined up just right
Neurons danced with Neurons, my friends,
And, oh, t’was quite a sight.

He thought he had it made, my friends,
His Synapses were on fire
And just a little razzle dazzle, my friends,
T'would be all that t'was required

But a brand new Nucleus showed up, my friends,
That shouldn’t have been there
And now there’s a chicken on the patio
Oh look, my friends, now he’s running scared

(sigh)

Hey diddle fiddle
Hey fiddle dump
Now he’s riding on a camel
With only one hump

But oh no. Oh no. What’s this? Wake up. Wake up,
T’is not the time to relax
But he had to take a little time out, my friends,
T’was time for his little nap.

Diddle daddle, fiddle faddle
Stifling a yawn
Now he’s counting all the hours,
Until it is dawn

Dang.

And he thought he had it made.
