AUTUM'S REFRAIN
Another season passed - gone on
Now is time for lovely Autumn
She wears a crown of many colors
Falling leaves the ground do cover
We listen closely for Autumn's refrain
Glad she has come to visit again
Ready for the changes she brings
We wait quietly for her to sing
To hear the song of Autumn - so sweet
The chill in the air rushes to meet
You put on your jacket beginning to seek
What you can find that is there; take a peek
Mother Earth does wondrous things
With all the seasons she always brings
Each is so different from the rest
A daunting test to pick the best
For what is best for you my friend
Blessings for you that God doth send
Others choose different times, tis so
We all just go with the ebb and the flow
Autumn has so much to offer you see
I close my eyes as she sings to me
Feeling the breezes, stepping on the leaves
She keeps on giving and we just receive
God planned the seasons, I ponder upon
Which of the seasons He had His heart set on
Did He have a favorite as well as we
Another mystery for you and me
I just thank Him for each of the seasons
Knowing that He must have had His reasons
Making this world the best it could be
Doing it all...for you and for me
