Day After Day Thoughts and Memories
In and out of our thoughts and memories
Day after day our ancestors travel
I wonder if they know how many mysteries
They could help us unravel
The past seems to come alive for us
As we discuss our family tree
The present stays in the proper place
As we discover still another key
The future becomes brighter as we hope
To continue and sometimes reveal
Something more about our ancestors
That they often tried hard to conceal
As we journey forward day after day
May we try to remember now
That we also are creating mysteries
For others to solve someday somehow
When our life has come and gone
And we are in the hereafter
Others may ponder about us then
And share tears and laughter
What things will we leave behind
For them to search and discover
Will they find we had no vice
Or that we are human as any other
Our life on earth is like a book
Open for everyone to read
What story will it tell to those
Who follow where we lead
