BLOWING IN THE WIND

Photobucket

As I sit here in my lonely room
Remembering days of you and me
I wish that we could once again
Live our lives so full but free

Do you remember how we loved
From late at night to light of day
As though we could not get enough
That one of us would go someday

And you did. I cry into my pillow
My days are suddenly just empty too
For what am I to do with all my time
I use to spend it all with you

At night, I make the big escape
My dreams take me where my heart can't go
I'm able to touch the wind, soar the skies
Full of love and loving, casting off a glow

The wind blows into my face and dries the tears
The way that I can soar the skies mends my heart
If only you felt the same as I do dear
You'd come back longing for another start

Begging I won't do. Even though I love you
I want no one with me that doesn't care
And if that is and seems to be the way
Then you are much better off - no telling where

For God will let me fly alone in dreams
He's shown me wonders you've don't even know
I have slept on clouds and seen the moon
Walked on golden streets and seen my son

He has shown me that I can be alright
The day that you walked out the door was not the
end
That I have grown into someone that I even love
No more of every day making sure to just pretend

So such is life in reality, I guess
May I live to touch the wind once more
And soaring skies...I do that every night
I'm blessed and only waiting for my Lord
