Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Hothouse Flowers

A brief encounter,
just by chance...
they arranged this moonlit tryst.
She'd led him on a merry dance
though others she had kissed.

Now, committed to his brother,
she'd sworn there'd never be another.
Here, in darkest night they met...
she vowed his brother to forget.

In greenhouse heat
where, passions spent,
two flowers almost bloomed.
Instead...
two withered stems were found,
two broken hearts entombed.

No seed developed,
germinated...
relationship now terminated.
