The dying rose

Two flowers almost bloomed
But, one as withered and died
Not enough love and nurturing
To keep it
Alive

It once,
was a beautiful flower
But, it has now lost
Its bloom

It has withered,
and died
And the blame
Belongs
To you

You took
My heart and broke it
After
I gave it
To you

I thought,
we would make
A beautiful garden
Together
You and I

But, that garden
Is now filled
With weeds
Nothing grows there,
Anymore
Since our love
Has died

We planted seeds
Together
Planned to watch
Them grow

Those seeds,
have now,
all
Blown away
With the wind
Since you said
You had
To go

You turned
And walked away
With that painful,
Word
Goodbye

Now the flower
That was blooming
Has withered up
And died

The bloom is
Off the rose
And I hurt deep,
Down inside

Two flowers almost bloomed
But, one as withered and died
Not enough love and nurturing
To keep it
Alive
