Christmas in the country
In the country at Christmas friends and families would all get together
To enjoy the families times making sure we had enough clothing on for the chilly weather
We enjoyed waiting for a snowflake to land on our tongue as we giggled
Sometimes families would skate together on the frozen pond as the kids pretended to make an igloo
Sometimes the snowbanks were covered in hail as it glistened so beautiful in the sunlight
We always would put on a warm mitten and had so much fun with a snowball we would throw
In the town square it was always beautifully decorated with a Christmas tree
In one of the candy stores they always had a cozy fireplace that we would all gather around as we began to shiver with the cold outside as we sipped on some hot chocolate and told stories around the fireplace
Friends and families would often go for a sleigh ride along the beautiful countyside
Enjoying the beautiful sights and sounds of the Christmas season with the falling snow
Christmas time in the town square is such a beautiful time of year
