Simple Truth
The simple truths are evident
and not subject to sentiment.
Everything you say and do
might in some way come back to you.
Keep your words and actions sweet.
You never know, for you might meet
someone, you never knew, someday,
who heard the words you had to say.
Your actions too will have effect
beyond what you might not expect.
If I have nothing nice to say
I will say nothing, if I may
and if I must voice words in pain
I hope they won't come back again.
