Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Waiting For Him

She smiles and laughs
as she tosses back her hair
Showered with compliments,
as if she really care

Everything she ever needed,
the house, car, and career
Missing pieces to a beautiful puzzle,
Her soul mate isn't there.

She giggles and flirts
As she bats those beautiful eyes
Picture perfect scenes
Built on small innocent lies

Her heart is running on empty
And the order's pretty tall
She has everything she ever wanted
But somehow has nothing at all

A thousand fans
With roses every day
She knows that with her little grin
She'll always get her way

But she comes home feeling lonely
Her heart she cannot share
Incomplete her life has been
For her soul mate isn't there.

She thought she found him years ago
But sadly she was mistaken
Her heart was opened with no regrets
But his heart was already taken

She found love again in another man's arms
And again was rudely awaken
What was to be loved was left for lust
unprepared for another heart breaking

Now when you see her in a perfect light
You would swear it's the smile of perfection
Who would've guessed, beneath that grin
a sea of tears... pain and rejection

Slow to react to another smile
saving what little she has left to share
donning the mask of sheer contentment
hoping her other half would appear

Everything she wants at her fingertips
But nothing she needs is there
Continuing to smile, hoping and waiting
For her soul mate to finally appear.
