Gratitude
It's the sunshine that radiates from within
Even on the days when the sky is cloudy
It's waking up in the morning, breathing in
A new dawn even more brilliant than before
It's watching the world go by in vivid detail
Ignoring the limitations, enjoying the miracles
It's experiencing the changes in body and soul
Love, renewal, deep felt emotions, selfless gifts
It's the ability to accept myself no matter what
Through trials and tribulations I learn and grow
It's saying thank you for even the smallest things
And realizing that blessings are always abundant
It's loving and being loved without the questions
As to why am I worthy or deserving of any at all
It's the way my life has been touched and changed
By strangers, by family, by my lover, by my friends
It's the way I want to live every single day of life
Telling the world the words my heart whispers
It's the thankfulness that words cannot even explain
It's the feeling I will always hold onto and cherish
It's breathing, it's celebrating, it's living every day…
