SNOW DAYS
What wonderful news
For a kid to hear.
Especially when Christmas
Was so near.
No school.
What a lucky break.
There were igloo's,
And snowmen to make.
With mittens and scarves
Securely in place,
We were bundled up.
Couldn't see our face.
What fun we all had.
Thrilling winter play.
We were so glad
For another snow day.

Today, when flakes fall
All my snow day memories,
Tug at my heart.
It all comes back to me.
