IN STARK REALITY
There in stark reality
Message written on a wall to see
No signature, address unknown
You knew this person felt alone
For there in black and white
This twas what was in sight
'I am lost and lonely too -
Out here looking just for you'
Such a sad write - though brief
Made you sit there; feel the grief
A soul out in this world alone
Finding not one to call their own
Yet this is written everywhere
You tell yourself in deep despair
For people feel this every day
Some just make choices not to say
Then there are others who will pen
What they want to say 'mongst men
Perhaps that life can be unfair
Especially when you've no one there
Twas as though the writing smudged
Tears your sure from time that was
Just a message on someone's wall
Brevity of words - yet told it all
Bowed my head and said a prayer
Somehow the lonely soul out there
Had found some love or at least
Had been filled with Gods pure peace
Knowing that when one walks with God
Although many miles must be trod
The meaning of all of life's made clear
The blessed can walk without the fear
