The Lady

Looking across the room,
our eyes met in a moment of pure delight.
Her face was almost haggard from years of
hardship, struggle, and worry.

Bedraggled and worn she looked like
she’d been drug through the mill.
The Spirit of God that had always been
evident in her face, seemed to be missing.

Her eyes brightened in recognition
And she smiled warmly. Then I knew
She was still my beautiful friend
Kimi Lee Taylor.

This is Two of Six in a
series called Caressing
the Detail.
