At Rainbows End

I'm here alone with falling tears,
And a shattered heart to mend.
All the answers to my questions
Are waiting there, at rainbows end.

That's where you said I'd find you
With love and dreams untold.
That's where you promised me
That pot of gold.

It was just another empty promise,
Another dream for you to steal away.
Your promises are callous words.
I'll take the sunshine any day.

Goodbye, and farewell to rainbows.
Farewell to the likes of you.
No more promises at rainbows end.
I want my skies heavenly- blue.
