A Taste

The taste is very sweet, like the lips of a beautiful lady,
as I sink my teeth into this mound of delightful
temptation. At first it is hard, but not at all crunchy.
As my jaws close, very quickly it bursts into
bits of rich and delicious goodness.

It melts and spreads over the roof of my mouth
causing a squeal of delight as the first of it
hits the throat and slides past my tonsils.
Running my tongue over my teeth,
I get the last of the smooth and luscious sweetness.
With one quick swallow, down into the deep
cavern of darkness my chocolate kiss
disappears forever.

This is six of six in a
series called Caressing
the Detail.
