IT HAS BEEN TWO YEARS NOW

Time waits for no one they say,
But it has been two years now since you went away.
God called you home to be his guest,
A place with no pain and now you can rest.

You left me your legacy and I promised to keep it going,
I wish I had your talent to write words flowing.
You were my husband and a wonderful mentor,
Your love poems to me, I will always keep and remember.

You knew how to write and tell it like it is,
Your knowledge and life experiences could pass any quiz.
You were one in a million and were very special to me,
I want to show your face and smile for all to see.

You always said you wanted to hang out the stars each night,
Sit on the moon and watch them twinkle so bright.
I look into the sky every night to see,
If the stars are still twinkling, for you and me.

It is been lonely here on Earth without you my love,
But someday God will call me home to heaven above.
Until that day the time will seem forever,
But your love for me will always be forever and ever.
