Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Faded Dreams

Love's misconception turned to disbelief;
What could have been must never come to be.
Too many dreams have drowned upon life's sea
As passion's waves soared high but all too brief.

Two fools who never knew each other's game,
We played as if for keeps but lost our way.
'So sorry' seems inadequate to say
When both of us must take a share of blame.

How could we be so wrong and seem so right?
Those magic moments cast in twilight's glow
Which lingered on the breath of first hello
Have faded in the view of dawn's true light.

Though fantasy of love may paint a dream,
Real truth has shown the opposite extreme.
