A BABE IN A MANGER
It was away in a manger
And so very long ago
That baby Jesus was born
Soon the world would know
He travled many miles that day
To be born on Christmas Eve
In a lowly manger was his bed
Who now can even hardly believe
He was sent to Mary to birth
A young girl who couldn't know
Just the impact this would have
On all the world and it would grow
Even 3 Kings followed a star
That night with a shepherd boy
They followed even angels
To find this little baby boy
A bed of hay was all there was
No room within the Inn
Some people in this world today
Still don't make room for Him.
He is the son of God
Dying on the cross you see
God sent him to shed the blood
That would save you and me
Tonight it once again is the eve
Of when Christ was born in Bethlehem
Born to be the King of Kings
To show the way to all men
God thank you for the baby boy
The eternal gift to all
May we remember through the year
Not just Christmas Eve recall
