My Holiday Prayer
The New Year is fast approaching.
Time marches on.
2009 is on the horizon.
The old year will soon be gone.
My daily prayer is that the needy,
Will have clothes to wear, food to eat.
A shelter from the bitter cold.
And shoes upon their feet.
There is always an added prayer.
My holiday prayer my kind friend.
Is for our troops to come home.
And this ungodly war to end.
