Wildly Unconnected
Those nights of mystery
when flaxen seem the stars,
when lunar landscape looms upon the land.
Venus has descended onto Mars
and whales are beached
on miles of moonlit sand.
When maidens' dreams come true
and ships are tossed at sea,
gallant knights may joust for lady's hand.
Spinsters meet for cake and tea
and white bones lie bleached
on miles of moonlit sand.
Wildly unconnected,
mere thoughts,
by poet collected.
