Hope Floats

Hope is something wished for,
And a means to escape,
All the current storms of evil,
Caused by sickness, death and hate.

Yes, some see hope as fading,
Drowning in a flood of despair.
They see it as a sinking vessel,
A boat beyond repair.

But hope to me is like a feather,
Floating up to Heaven so gracefully,
High above all those storm clouds,
And the raging of the sea.
