Whispers from my heart
Loneliness was my blanket,
for so long it covered my heart
then you entered my life
and you loved me

You gave me back self worth
with a smile so tender
you brought me peace
with a voice so gentle
you showed me the sun
you poured yourself,
your beautiful love
upon my life, my soul
like a healing salve,
a calming ointment
with cooling vapors

And you wrapped me
in your strong, solid love
you sealed our love and
made us all that we are
at this time, in this place
at this moment
~~*~~*~~*~~
But more so, with your strong
yet gentle hands, you caressed
away all my pain and loneliness
your soothing , sturdy voice
whispered away the distrust
and thus, you dried my tears
you gave me a reason to trust again

Because of you, I know there is good
because of your love, I am here
I don't just exist, but I live
yes I live, for moments like this
where timeless love whispers
from my heart
