Myranda's Sonnet

Guardian angel looking over me,
Fourteen years since you have gone.
All of my frustration out for you to see,
As I work from dusk until dawn.

Birthdays have come and went,
You are ever present in my mind.
A lot of my poetic energy is spent,
But still you inspire, I find.

Years have passed since the day,
You were taken from your mother and I,
And touched us in your special way,
Then left us alone to cry.

Happy Birthday my first born child,
Spared from this life that is wild.
