Falling Prices and Fool's Gold
Right On!! Television says there’s a big sale at Walmart !
So, in a fit of temporary insanity, I rush down.
Geez Louise! Must be some sale…not one shopping cart!
What with all the falling prices, what could one expect???
Back in the parking lot, an empty cart I found.
I flew through shoes, bags, accessories, fireplace logs that flame.
All the while I’m thinking, this is only pocket change!
My cart overflowing, the checkout stand is my goal,
Digging down in my purse for my best credit card,
Only to find it was no better than fool's gold!
