Winter heart

Winter heart looks happy but only darkness grows today
As she gazes as herself in the water with her reflection
And gazes upon a beautiful shining thing she holds in her hand
She ponders life and feels it is time to move on as she begin to cry

Her tears fill the pond as it shimmers so beautifully
As she smiles to herself and says I know I must carry on

She looks around at the stars and says to herself I need to let go of you
Just to find my own way and regain my confidence along the way

As she gazes up to the stars in wonder
She is feeling alittle more strong
To journey and know she can do it each day
Her heart is no longer heavy where darkness only did grow
For she found inner strength and courage to try and move on from her painful past
Learning to forgive herself, learning to try and find the courage and inner strength inside

As she opens herself up, the past of her darkness no longer haunts her
As she walks into the sunshine meeting friends that love her each day
She is able to breath and just be herself and is loved and accepted along the way
For she lived in such darkness that no one could understand
And now she is free to follow her dreams and be loved for who she is and that to her is beautiful thing
Just to be out of the darkness
As she finds the courage and strength inside
She is able now to reach up to the stars
And always knows that she is also beautiful inside
For years when darkness grew of someone telling her she wasn't she is now able to soar above on gentle wings
For the darkness no longer grows, since she is free from the pain and torture she went through in the darkness
Now she sees the beauty of friendship that surrounds her each day
Most of all she loves herself and is able to just be free of the darkness

Written for winter heart looks happy, only darkness grows challenge
