He gave his life upon a cross
From sin to set us free
An example of self sacrifice
For all who cared to see
He made us all this promise

Those words he spoke from that awful tree
In agony and in pain
Gives hope to us in this troubled world
His loss was for our gain

Behind dark clouds above
Open your heart let God come in
To guide you with his love
Emblazon within your memory
