If I was a millionaire and had lots of money
To me it will not matter each day
I would give money to the needy
I would keep some for my family
Yet I would know money cannot buy happiness
I would donate to the food bank knowing I maybe made someone's day
When they didn't have any food on their table to feed their kids today
I would give some sleeping bags for those that live on the streets
To keep them from the coldness when it snows
I would walk along knowing the homeless need our help too
I would give them if a was a millionaire hope and confidence to help them today
For with the snow each day if I was a millionaire I would create jobs for the unemployed and unskilled
Teaching them new skills to work once again even if they feel their skills are rusty
I would give them confidence in themselves to know they can do it
I would give them hope so that they would see they are beautiful inside
And that they would be a very good worker if someone gives them the chance
I would give them hope and inner strength that is always inside of them each day
Encouraging them to see they are beautiful inside each day
If I was a millonaire it would mean alot to me
It would mean more if I can make someone learn a new skill when life has beaten them down
I would make sure they felt proud of their achievements made along the way
And to be proud of themselves not matter how small of a step they made today
I would look out for my family and children and make sure they had enough money to live
If I was a millionaire I would take happiness instead of money each day
Material things have a way to fade away along the way
To me I would just be content being just myself each day
Not whether I have lots of money at all
For money is just material things and fades away
To me if I am a millionaire I would give it all away to
Because it is just paper and to me it means nothing without my friends
No matter how much money I have. My friends are more precious than gold or money
So if you ask if I was a millionaire what I would do with money
I would rather make you smile with my poetry each day
For to me money is just material things along the way
To me money is just a piece of paper and all the money in the world doesn't always mean anything
If I was a millionaire I would give it to you if it made you happy
Keeping enough for my family and friends and children to last their lifetime
Money to me doesn't buy happiness. It is cherishing and loving friends we meet along the way
Whether we have a dime in our pocket or not
It is the fact they love and accept us no matter what
For to me whether I am a millionaire each day
I would know money will never buy happiness to others today
But I would be sure to know I don't need the money to
I would know that if I give money I might be helping families that have no food on their table each day
If I was a millionaire it would make me happy knowing their children have food in the tummy today
