YOU ALWAYS MAKE MY DAY
As I woke up this morning
I wiped sleepy out my eyes
Right away I thought of you
I wonder if you even realize
I don't know just what I did
Before I met you years ago
But this, I know for sure now
I'd be so lost if you should go
It isn't always what you do
Not always what you say
It just always is the right thing
You always make my day
I ponder as I write this
Just what you'd have to say
If you knew the impact you
Have on my life and everyday
Your kind and ever gentle
MY soft shoulder to fall
You always understand me
When I need help; it's you I call
I thank God for your presence
That He sent to me this 'gift'
For the best of friends is hard to find
The kind that just know how to 'lift'
You can take the darkest morning
Make the sunshine break right through
When I'm thinking there's no answer
You always help me find one too
You are a friend among all friends
I don't know how God sent you to me
But it is you, and only you
That gets me through each day, you see
To say 'I love you' never says
What someone really means to say
I wish there were some other words
You are my everything ..I'll say
