the power of love
i have learned that love has the power
to cover the miles, to still the hour
to crush the heart and blind the eyes
and deafen the ears to casual lies
love makes fools of the wise, turns men mad
tears up the soul, and makes the heart glad
is love disastrous? who can say?
and yet those in love, how blessed are they!
