Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Even Ernie’s Have Something to Say
Ernie was just one of those guys that people
just looked over or around.
His talents lay deeply hidden within his spirit
but there it does abound.

He’s of slight build and rather unassuming,
another face in the crowd.
The distant vistas his mind was consuming
were covered by a blank stare shroud.

Ernie had big plans in this roll through living,
he would chronicle events.
Why he could be a poet, a fine way of giving
much like sermons attended in tents.

An orator was not in his makeup and not in the offing,
though his message will be spread.
Scholars who discounted, will no longer be scoffing
as each of his passages is read.

Ernie, the nondescript fellow at the back of the line
sees more of the wonder than most.
When the twinkle in his eye brightens it’s a sign
more beautiful images he will host.

Never judge a book by its cover works wonderfully here,
as this little man keeps eyes open wide.
Some day the literary world will stand as one and cheer
for the chronicler whose words never died.
