Mermaid Man and Wife

Living in the deep blue sea
It seemed our life was grand
My mermaid wife and I would swim
together hand in hand

One day I noticed she's upset
I watched her temper soar
She said to me, 'Jump in the lake
I can't take anymore'

I questioned her,'What's going on?'
'I'm not your maid,' said she
'You big mouth bass,I am your wife!'
I knew I must agree

I never call her mermaid now
We still swim hand in hand
But it seems I get more wetter now
She's flappin' at both ends
