Why Can't I Say This Outloud?

Inside a love,
I see a blindness.
This creates all
innocence and naive
thinking.
Sheltering lives
from what's real,
and what matters.
Outside a love,
I see there is
everything.
The truth, peers,
and friends, know
how to disable it.
Tears down
the barriers,
so no one can
go back to where
they started.
Somewhere in the
middle of outside
and in, we stand
face to face.
Waiting,
waiting for some
magical phrase,
that neither of us
are willing to say.
Standing so close,
it's to cold here.
I missed the cue for
my turn to speak.
Shivering here in this
void, to hot to breathe.
Lost somewhere
in your eyes,
and maybe forever,
that is where
I'll be.
