Life to be Lived
Following the year I’ve just endured
today would be the perfect day for renewal,
The perfect day for me to start the rest of my life
while letting pains and miseries subside.
If I were alone the task would be more to bear,
but alone I am not, my beautiful wife is my cane
She keeps me upright and steadies fall backs,
while ensuring me that she needs me in her life.
Memories are not to be expunged, oh no no,
they are there forever, that’s just fine.
It’s the new and good memories that we will make
that will boost this search for clarity of mine.
