A Song for My Froggie

Hello,
Sweet little bird,
take this,
my gentle song,
And if you will,
Kindly give it wings

Fly it over Texas,
To a precious,
But grieving heart
That needs to remember,
Somehow,
How to sing

As a song
I know it’s not
All that much
But oh,
I know that you know,
Dear little bird
That it's so filled with love

I took the colors of the rainbows
Gave them a gentle nudge
And in a moment of compassion
I borrowed blue from the sky above

I sprinkled my song with gold dust
Captured from the blazing sun
And in it I poured my heart strings
Until finally my song was done

Now I’m sitting at my window
Watching you fly away
And oh, how I'm hoping
That this song
That comes straight
From my loving heart
Will somehow brighten her day

May she hear the pretty music
I'm sending with tenderness
Oh please,
Dear little bird,
Please comfort her,
And help her poor heart to rest

I love you, Ruby

Try to remember that there are more than one sets of footprints in the sand.
