Challenged2

My soul escaping quietly
into lakes reflecting beauty.
The winds carrry these words of thought
caught in the circumstance they brought.

Bloody laughter rings in the mix.
Bleeding emotions mix, transfix
like crumbs of leftover fruitcakes
dampness seeps in like past mistakes.

Though diamonds rock they're bitter cold.
Bruised blue skies covering my soul.
There is such darkness in the light
responding to the pain of night.

A beginning time ends in time
whoever said that life's sublime?
Yet despite how brightly lights shine
there's yet no peace for me and mine.
