When the Bough Breaks
One, two, three cracks I hear
I'm stuck in this tree
Now panicked with fear
At my age of life
Why did I care?
You dared me to do it
Now I need a prayer

I feel myself slipping
I'm losing my grip
My fingers are trembling
and starting to slip
When the bough breaks
I know I'll hit ground
My heart's beating faster
My thinking's confound

I can't last much longer
I hope I don't die
or when I hit bottom
You see this man cry
The time's drawing closer
My finger's are numb
Why did I do this?
I feel really dumb

I know eyes are watching
from houses around
They're calling their neighbors
from all over town
They're laughing and wondering
What's wrong with this guy
He's stuck on a tree branch
Just seven feet high
