dancing on the edge of insanity
clutching at the ragged fringe of thought
leaping over ash of inanity
rising like the phoenix i'd forgot
just to overcome the banality
dust upon the mirror of the mind
hoping to create some reality
greater than the one i'd designed
'ere celestial music had taken me
lifted me beyond the finite truth
showing me the ways i'd forsaken me
in the wasted days of my youth
now i'm dancing on the edge of eternity
letting go of everything i've known
clarity of spirit is returning me
