PLANS TO ELOPE: PART I
Rich girl was in love with
a peasant farmer.
To her,
he was an appealing charmer.
To her parents, he was a nobody.
He was among the least,
beneath their society.
So they made plans to elope.
She wrote a letter
and placed it in an envelope.
She didn`t want her parents
to worry too much.
But with them,
she had already lost touch.
Just before midnight,
while her parents were asleep;
Out the door, she did creep.
They met
at their midnight rendezvous.
They got in his car
and headed for Las Vegas.
He had a good sum of money
saved for this occasion.
So they were well off for
this evasion.
As soon as they were in Vegus.
A justice of the peace
married them in Hotel Pagus.
They spent
several days honeymooning.
While she spent time grooming,
He was doing some gambling.
He was very lucky.
he won two million.
With that money,
they had a lifetime of provision.
They went back to their town
in style.
They proved to her parents
he was worthwhile.
They made both
of their parents proud.
They gave them
some grandchildren.
It was a beautiful crowd.
