How do you mend a shattered heart?

With a moment my dragon’s heart will weep,
That of blood so black,
Filled with pain,
Anguish of begotten betrayal,
Trust lost and gone,

How do you heal a broken heart?
Each day I pass hoping the pain shall ease,
A smile to tease,
A giggle to please,
The pain etches away at my memory,
Slowly burning brightly into ash,
How do you heal a wounded soul?

I walk in the rain,
Pleading “please wash it all away”,
I don’t want to rage anymore,
A soul has been tore,
Torn, left only to be mended,
With barbed wire,
Wove from the past meeting the future,
This life has only made me stronger,

How do you heal the heart that is far beyond broken?
This heart left shattered on the floor,
Blood, wrought of tears,
Blended here with the pain of shattered glass,
Glistening in the sun’s warmth,
The smile beaming,
Welcoming the warmth,
Warming this heart of ice,
Love and time,
Peace and hope,
This is how I shall mend my shattered heart.
