God's Candle

One dark, misty morning,
a child sat in a rocking-chair,
near an open window
overlooking the sea,
her golden head shining
as she rocked herself.
The mist softly fell away,
and the room was filled
with bright sunshine.
The sun is God's candle,
filling the world with light.
