SOULFUL SYMPHONY
How could one suggest that there is simplicity of song
For much is put into the writing and the planning as it goes along
The magic in the melody makes the start
Words then written from the heart
Hours playing with the words to make them right
Just as there is the time taken to make the notes delight
There has to be a lot of heart in both of these
If this music is to last and is to please
It is the finished product that is heard
As they harmonize together - note and word
Each a symphony of its own kind
Leaving lasting memories behind
I can write the words but not the tunes
Mine must be read and hope to be understood
But a melody takes it further still
For the words and melody will be played at will
Each writer finding in the final script
Hopefully what had been meant for it
That time will hold it tenderly to heart
Some more magic moments thus to impart
