The End

I have roamed the world …
tear by tear …
sigh by sigh,
climbed every weeping willow …
listened to their sobbing;
the whispering of their sorrows,
stood in front of the oceans …
admiring their blue;
lost in their mystique,
hid behind smiles …
caged within the mask;
fooled by the phantom …
I have slain hope …
hoping to put off the fires …
of love,
adore,
and all keys to anguish …
The clouds of red and rose …
hovered far into the horizon …
above tombstones …
with no names;
amidst a river of soft tears …
where the conclusion ...
only resembles ..
the beginning;
where everything started …
and must lay …
and close my eyes to the end …
