When I'm To Old To Dream

When I'm to old to dream
I'll sit beside the the fire in winter and think of you
Each day of our youth we shared and remember you as the one that cared.
And when my memory no longer serves me
I'll remember you with my heart for the heart never forgets
the one it loves.
When I'm to old to dream I'll listen for the song of doves to sing at mornings light in early spring
And when the scent of lilacs fill the air I'll remember you and I ...once sat there
When I 'm to old and have gone home I'll be waiting near somewhere to take you by the hand and remind you we still care
When I'm to old to dream
