The mystical night
As the sun set across the waters
I closed my eyes and started to dream
The wind began to blow so gently
As the hot air balloons billowed across the skies
I wondered if I was dreaming or transcending time and space
In the horizon I could hear the sound of swishing wings
Something or someone seemed to be beckoning me along
But what and who is beckoning me I began to ponder
It was a comforting and soothing feeling it gave me on this mystical night
The stars began to beautifully shimmer and shine
When out of the night sky emerged a beautiful griffin
He stretched his claws out so that he could land upon a branch nearby
Cresting across the waters as they rippled and shone so blue
The griffin was the most beautiful sight that I had ever seen before
He had wings the size of an eagle, strong, majestic full of beauty and wonder
As I closed my eyes there was something calming and soothing about the griffin
As the griffin sat high above upon a star
Where was I on this beautiful majestic night
Have I transcended through time and space
Or was it all just a dream that I was having
Did my imagination upon this starry night get the better of me
As I looked around the stars began to shimmer and sparkle with such soothing, calming beautiful light
