Exposure

Naked soul unveiled
Freed from the walls built by fear
Love exposed beauty
Dancing in unseen shadows
Behind façade laden smiles
For the first time my truths were revealed. You knew I was holding back pieces of myself. Your desire was to know me entirely, utterly, completely. Every fear, every doubt, and every mistake you wanted to share in. For so long I had adopted others insecurities marrying them with mine without sharing my own. Understanding and acceptance overpowered my barriers. One thing you could not accept was my disguise. And the walls came tumbling down all around. You saw me through an invisible wall that protected me for so long. Once the mirage vanished for the first time I could see my bare soul dancing freely in the mirror of your eyes.
